Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc. (AHE) was formed in May of 2005 when owners Joseph Alday, PE and Travis Howell, PE opened offices in Tallahassee and Marianna. The company has grown to 21 employees with offices in Marianna and Crestview where we service clients from Escambia County to Jefferson County in the Florida panhandle and southwest Georgia.
Current and past AHE clients include the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC), Department of Military Affairs, Town of Greenwood, City of Bonifay, Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, Jackson County School Board, Town of Sneads, Bay County Board of County Commissioners, City of Tallahassee and many in the private sector. Over the past fourteen plus years, AHE has performed engineering services on over 400 projects including site design, roadway design, stormwater management, environmental permitting, water and sewer system design, construction engineering inspection, subdivision design and land use planning.
Joseph and Travis each have 22 years of design and construction experience on projects throughout northwest Florida. Both went to work for a local engineering firm with offices in Tallahassee and Chipley, Florida in 1997 and have worked together ever since. With this experience and working relationship between two of the Principals in the firm, AHE has developed the background and knowledge to successfully manage and design a wide range of civil engineering projects. Our clients have grown to trust that the product they receive will be accurate, detailed, cost effective, prior to schedule and designed with safety in mind.
Travis has over 30 FDOT roadway design projects under his belt ranging from rural resurfacing to urban new construction. Joseph brings to the team a wealth of knowledge regarding site and subdivision design and permitting including water and sewer utilities. He has designed roadways, water systems, public water wells and sewer systems including lift stations to serve new developments. Jordan Burnett has been promoted to shareholder. His FDOT roadway design and project management experience solidifies our management team for years to come.
AHE is available to begin work immediately on civil engineering projects in Florida and Georgia. Our next client will receive the full benefit of AHE’s project team experience and resources.
